Diminish Those Wrinkles
When you want to diminish facial wrinkles and take years of aging off your face – without surgery – A Botox treatment may be exactly what you need. Botox is a minimally invasive procedure that is designed to reduce or eliminate fine lines and creases like frown lines, forehead furrows, and crow’s feet wrinkles around the eyes, as well as skin bands on your neck.
Why Botox treatment?
Botox is a non-surgical injectable that is temporary, but highly effective in softening and smoothing the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines and other facial wrinkles. You could see results with just one treatment – and it only takes about ten minutes! With only several tiny injections, you can expect results which lasts about three to six months. Botox treatments and other injectables are far less expensive and extremely less invasive than surgical procedures.
What’s in a Botox Injection?
Botox is a brand name for a substance that contains botulinum toxin. The chemical is purified and derived from bacteria. Commonly known as Botox and Dysport, these types of botulinum toxin type A injections block muscular nerve signals. This blockage weakens the muscle, which stops it from contracting. This results in less unwanted facial wrinkles. Botox treatments have been on the market since 1997.

Juvederm Facial Fillers
As we age, our skin loses elasticity and subcutaneous fat. Because facial muscles are then working closer to the surface of our skin, our wrinkles become more apparent. Surgery is not always required to achieve a younger and more vibrant look. Facial fillers are a highly effective and non-invasive treatment that reduce the appearance of wrinkles and restore fullness to the face.
Getting your wrinkles filled is, compared to a facelift, very simple and inexpensive, and the results, compared to Botox treatments, are very long lasting.
During the treatments, which take about thirty minutes, the doctor will inject fillers into any lines on your face that you want to reduce or eliminate. Depending on the patient and the type of treatment, the results will last anywhere from four months to a year.
While Botox injections blocks the muscular nerve tissue in your face, facial fillers are injectable treatments that fill the wrinkles on your face. These injections can soften facial creases, enhance shallow contours and improve the appearance of scars. The fillers can also be used to add plumpness to your cheeks, lips and sagging hands. The fillers should feel natural under the skin and should not cause the patient any downtime after the procedure.
To maximize results and minimize risk of side effects, it is important to consult with your doctor about the best type of wrinkle filler for you. Your doctor will determine whether you are a good candidate for hyaluronic acid or synthetic fillers. Some studies have shown that hyaluronic acid may help stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen, ultimately reducing wrinkles.
Side effects are rare. The list includes the risk of allergic reaction and/or the bluish discoloration of the skin. It is also possible, albeit very rare, that if the treatments are administered improperly, skin cells may die.
You will leave looking (and maybe even feeling!) younger. You may even be more beautiful than ever.
Restylane is a collection of dermal filler products that use a hyaluronic acid formula to add volume and smooth wrinkles in the face. Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the body to provide the skin with adequate moisture and nutrients. Restylane treatments can lift and define features as well as soften wrinkles. Each product is specifically made to target a certain area and includes:
Used to soften laugh lines around the mouth and wrinkles in the face as well as enhance the lips. With optimal treatment, results can last for over one year.
Used to treat problems in the midface, Restylane Lyft can restore volume loss in the cheeks and soften moderate to severe lines and wrinkles. If you experience smile lines around the mouth or between the nose and corners of the mouth, you might choose Restylane Lyft for your treatment. Lyft is shown to last several months for treatment of wrinkles and up to a year for treatment of volume loss in the midface.
Restylane Defyne & Refyne
These products are effective in reducing the appearance of laugh lines between the nose and the mouth. Results can last for up to one year.
Designed for silkier, smoother, and fuller-looking lips. Your lips can thin due to age or genetics. Restylane can be placed in the lips for augmentation, or around the lips to soften lines and wrinkles. Results of Restylane Silk can last for six months or longer.
Your Treatment With Restylane Products
Treatment with Restylane products is nonsurgical. Before placement, a topical anesthetic can be applied to the area to minimize your discomfort during the process. The Restylane formula will be placed into the target area, deep within the skin, using a very thin needle. Next, the area will be massaged to ensure even distribution of the gel. The amount of time your treatment takes will depend on the severity of your volume loss and wrinkles, but should take under an hour.
After treatment, you might experience some mild side effects including swelling, redness, bruising, headache, and itching at the injection site. These symptoms should subside in the next few days. All normal activity can be resumed after treatment with no downtime required. It is advised that you avoid sun exposure or use sun protection for the first few days.
The results of your treatment with Restylane products can be noticed immediately with added volume and softened facial folds and wrinkles. While one session can give you effective results, you might choose to have a second session to optimize your treatment for longer-lasting results.
What is ResurFX
ResurFX non-ablative laser resurfacing can treat a number of skin concerns, including fine lines, deep wrinkles, loose skin, uneven skin tone and texture, and mild acne scarring. This treatment is commonly performed on the face, but can also be used to treat the neck and décolletage.
Because ResurFX is a non-ablative laser, it stimulates the development of collagen without ablating (removing) the skin. It is also a fractional laser, which means that it only treats a fraction of the skin to reduce required downtime while still providing effective results.
Who is a Good Candidate?
Most men and women who have wrinkles, fine lines, acne scarring, and uneven skin tone can benefit from ResurFX. A consultation with Dr. Trupiano can help to determine if this procedure is a good match for you. During your consultation, it is important to disclose any health conditions you may have so that the safest treatment option can be chosen.
How Does ResurFX Work?
During treatment, a topical anesthetic will be applied to the treatment area. Unlike a CO2 laser, ResurFX is a non-ablative laser, so it does not remove layers of skin. Instead, the laser generates heat, which stimulates the production of collagen in the skin. Treatments can last 20 minutes or longer, depending on the size of the treatment area.
There is little downtime associated with this procedure, and patients can return to their everyday activities the day after treatment. Following a ResurFX procedure, patients often see smoother, tighter, skin and a reduction of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scarring. It is advised that patients avoid sun exposure the day following treatment, and wear a sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, daily. Patients will need to undergo at least three to four treatments spaced about one month apart to obtain optimal results.
What is DeepFX?
DeepFX laser resurfacing can treat a number of skin concerns, including fine lines, deep wrinkles, and uneven skin tone and texture. This treatment is commonly performed on the face, but can also be used to treat the neck, upper chest, hands, and arms.
The DeepFX procedure provides many benefits, including:
- Improvement of a wide array of skin issues
- Only one treatment needed to see results
- Minimal downtime needed
- Dramatic results
Who is a Good Candidate?
While most individuals can benefit from DeepFX, those who have taken Accutane in the past year or have a history of keloid formation should not undergo these treatments. A consultation with Dr. Trupiano can help to best determine if you are a good candidate for this procedure.
How Does DeepFX Work?
Using a CO2 laser, DeepFX penetrates the lower layers of collagen to repair signs of aging like wrinkles and lines. By targeting the deep layers of the skin, DeepFX stimulates collagen production to rejuvenate the skin. Also, by treating only a fraction of the skin’s surface, downtime is shortened, so you patients can get back to their everyday routines faster.
Following a DeepFX procedure, patients often see smoother, tighter, skin and a reduction of lines and wrinkles. Patients will begin to see results after a few days, with improvements continuing up to a year as collagen production continues.
PRFM or platelet-rich Fibrin Matrix microneedling is a minimally invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that has recently been growing in popularity. The growth factors that exist in the plasma used help to regenerate the skin by promoting collagen production while nourishing the skin. This is a great option for patients that are looking to improve the quality of their skin while looking younger and more refreshed as well.
What is Platelet-Rich Fibrin Matrix?
The PRFM used in this facial procedure is the patient’s own blood, processed to become a more platelet concentrated version of the plasma. Platelet cells encourage cell turnover and collagen growth, revealing firmer, brighter skin. Due to the fact that a patient’s own blood is used, this reduces the change of irritation or adverse reactions.
Who is a Candidate for PRFM Microneedling?
Most men and women that have uncompromised skin and realistic expectations are good candidates for this treatment. This treatment is very effective in improving a variety of skin issues including signs of aging, textural issues, and scars. One of the best attributes of PRFM microneedling is that there is little to no change of allergy or irritation since the patient’s own blood is being used.
How is PRFM Microneedling Performed?
To begin the treatment, the practitioner will harvest blood from the patient. Once collected, the blood is spun in a centrifuge device that separates the blood from the plasma. This makes a very concentrated substance full of growth factors. Once the plasma has been processed, the platelet-rich formula is then applied to the patient’s skin. Once applied, a microneedling device will be run over the skin which helps the skin to absorb the plasma. In addition to absorption, the needles on the microneedling applicator cause micro-injuries which kick-start the skin healing process. Since the treatment is topical, downtime is minimal. After the procedure, the skin will be quite red and tender. Your skin care professional will advise you on what can be applied to the skin during the healing process.
PRFM Microneedling Results & Recovery
After PRFM microneedling, you will experience some redness for approximately 24 hours and mild swelling and tenderness for 48 to 72 hours post-treatment. Overall, the recovery time is approximately three days. Once healed, you will be left with more youthful, glowing skin. Scheduling a consultation with Dr. Trupiano is the best way to find out what your specific treatment process may be like.
PRFM Hair Restoration
PRFM or platelet-rich Fibrin Matrix hair restoration is a non-surgical hair restoration treatment for patients experiencing unwanted hair loss that has been growing in popularity. PRFM hair loss is a fantastic substitute for more invasive methods such as full hair transplants. This option for hair restoration is also more natural and avoids the use of any foreign chemicals.
What is Platelet Rich Fibrim Matrix?
PRFM used in this procedure is the patient’s own blood, processed down to be a more platelet concentrated version of the plasma. Platelet cells encourage hair growth, reversing inactive hair follicles back to active hair follicles to rejuvenate the patient’s hair. Due to the fact that a patient’s own blood is used, this reduces the change of irritation or adverse reactions.
Who is a Candidate for PRFM Hair Restoration?
Most men and women that are in good general health and have signs of hair loss are good candidates for this treatment. One of the best attributes of PRFM hair restoration is that there is little to no chance of allergic or adverse reaction since the patient’s own blood is being used.
How is PRFM Hair Restoration Performed?
To begin the treatment, the practitioner will harvest blood from the patient. Once collected, the blood is spun in a centrifuge device that separates the blood from the plasma. This makes a very concentrated substance full of growth factors. Once the plasma has been processed, the platelet-rich formula is then injected into the patient’s scalp. Since the plasma is administered as an injectable, there is no need for anesthesia or some sort of anesthetic. Because of these factors, downtime is minimal or not necessary and patients can go about their day shortly after treatment.
PRFM Hair Restoration Process and Results
After PRFM Hair restoration, you will begin to see results 4-8 months post procedure. However, for best results, Dr. Trupiano may recommend that you repeat the treatment every 1-3 months to maintain the results. PRFM hair restoration may not be a permanent solution for those suffering from considerable hair loss. Scheduling a consultation with Dr. Trupiano is the best way to find out what your specific treatment process may be like.
What is Latisse?
Latisse is an FDA-approved treatment for growing longer, thicker eyelashes. This treatment is very easy to use, and proven effective. In a clinical trial, Latisse was shown to achieve 25% longer lashes, 106% fuller lashes, and 18% darker lashes.
Who is a Candidate?
Individuals with sparse eyelashes who wish to achieve longer, darker lashes can often benefit from Latisse. Most individuals can benefit from Latisse, however, a consultation with Dr. Trupiano can help to determine candidacy.
Latisse is simply applied to the upper lash line using special applicators. Patients should not apply Latisse to the lower lid or in the eye. Be sure to only use the sterile applicators supplied with Latisse to apply the product. If you decide to stop treatments, your lashes will gradually return to their previous appearance. Results should begin to show after four weeks of use, with full results after 16 weeks.
After the treatment, patients should begin to see changes in eyelash length first. Over time, the lashes will darken and thicken. Possible side effects to be aware of include darkening of the iris of the eye, which may be permanent, and eyelid skin darkening, which may be reversible. After you achieve full results, speak with Dr. Trupiano about continued use.
