Look and Feel Your Best with Michigan's Preferred Board Certified Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon
Over the years, due to fluctuation in weight, aging, sun damage and heredity, your skin will naturally sag. You may be bothered by drooping or dimpled skin on your thighs, hips, buttocks, abdomen, upper arms, back, inner knew, chest, cheeks, chin, neck, calves and ankles. You may choose liposuction in order to re-sculpt and shape your body, to spot-reduce size in certain parts of your body, and/or to reveal abdominal muscles. If you are a woman who has delivered one or more children, you may choose liposuction in order to return your figure to its pre-pregnancy look.
During this quick procedure, you will be medicated with local anesthesia, intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. Small, inconspicuous incisions will be made around the target areas. Excess fat will be loosened and suctioned out of the body with a surgical vacuum or syringe attached to the cannula. You will be out of the hospital in about an hour and should be able to return to normal activities, with some restrictions, in one to two weeks after surgery.
Expect some swelling, soreness and fluid retention post-procedure. Once the swelling reduces, you will notice your new and improved body contour. Though it is natural to notice some loss of firmness as you age, the results will be long lasting. For the best results, it is important to maintain a healthy weight and lifestyle. Incision lines will never disappear, but will fade over time.
You will love your new, slim contours and tighter-looking muscles.
