Inverted Nipple

Some women elect to have an inverted nipple corrected in order to heighten their appreciation of their bodies and to grow their self-confidence. This popular and commonly performed procedure will make the nipple stand out from the skin of the breast—even if it has not been stimulated.

Ten to twenty percent of women have inverted nipples, and there are varying degrees of inversion. Some inverted nipples become erect and remain erect temporarily. Others tend to retract quickly back to an inverted position after becoming erect. In some cases, the nipple remains inverted at all times.

Dr. Trupiano has been recognized as one of America’s Top Breast Surgeons.

Inverted Nipple Surgery Procedure

The procedure is minimally invasive and takes only about thirty minutes. You will receive either intravenous sedation or general anesthesia, and a small incision will be made at the base of the nipple. The release of the fiber and ducts will allow the nipple to protrude. After the procedure, you will be able to promptly return to your normal activities—there is virtually no down time.

The results of the procedure will be immediately visible, and you may find yourself standing taller and prouder.
